Halloween Screams to Light Up the Night at Disneyland During Halloween Time

The Haunted Mansion isn’t the only place that Jack Skellington will be taking over this Halloween. Jack Skellington will be taking over the skies over Disneyland this Halloween Time once again. Disney announced that the projection and fireworks spectacular, Halloween Screams, will be returning to Disneyland nightly from September 2 through October 31, 2022.

With the return of Halloween Screams, guests will be able to see the projection effects nightly throughout the Halloween Time celebration. For weekends, fireworks will also be added to the show as Jack Skellington encourages everyone at Disneyland to scream!

Halloween Screams first appeared at Disneyland in 2009. It was offered nightly throughout the Halloween Time celebration at Disneyland. In 2010, the show was only offered during Mickey’s Halloween Party. The only exception to this was when the firework show was delayed and then shown the following night at Disneyland. It would be offered for Mickey’s Halloween Party through 2018. In 2019, the Disneyland Resort Halloween party moved to Disney California Adventure where it was now called Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party.

With the Halloween party moving to Disney California Adventure, Halloween Screams was again offered to regular day guests visiting Disneyland. With it being offered nightly, the show was offered on the weekends with fireworks and during the week with projections only. The projection version of the show was, and is, best watched from Main Street, USA, in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle, and also at it’s a small world. Halloween Screams is hosted by Jack Skellington and celebrates Disney villains and the music that accompanies them.

    Hi Mr. DAPs, Do you know if there’s a dining package or ticket to purchase in order to watch from a reserved viewing area similar to Fantasmic or the parade? If not, where do you recommend going to watch? Thank!

    1. Hi there! I haven’t heard of a dining package YET for this. However, I actually would prefer getting a spot on Main Street either in front of the castle or in the middle of Main Street, USA anywhere from Carnation Cafe to Coke Corner. I like the Main Street experience the most I think as it feels the most immersive.
