Welcome back to Geeks Corner! In this week’s episode, Mr. Daps and Caitie Bear return to the studio to test their own show lore, dive into major Disney resort updates, celebrate summer entertainment, and deliver three massive announcements as we mark the halfway point to Geekmas!
Here is what you can look forward to in this week’s episode:
Episode Highlights
- Geeks Corner Lore & Trivia: The show kicks off with a trip down memory lane as Mr. Daps shares a fun piece of show history: the very first time a Geeks Corner episode explicitly referenced its own name was on Tuesday, December 17, 2013. The hosts realize that Geekmas is rapidly approaching its 15th anniversary and challenge viewers in the chat to name a special guest from the 2012 holiday episode.
- CHOC Walk 2026 Reminders: Mark your calendars for August 2nd! There is still time to support or join the Daps Magic team for the annual CHOC Walk through an empty Disneyland Resort before the parks open. The duo praises the incredible, daily life-changing work done by the CHOC team and reminds viewers that if they are too sleep-deprived to walk early in the morning, they can always register as a “sleeping bear” to support the cause from home.
- The Return of Caption of the Week: A brand-new, family-friendly interactive caption challenge is live on the website! This week’s image features an amusing moment with Disney fairies. Head over to the bottom of the homepage to leave your funniest caption and vote later in the week to see which caption gets to live with the photo permanently.
- Disney Springs Transportation Policy Update: Walt Disney World has updated its resort bus policy at Disney Springs. Moving forward, only paying guests are permitted to utilize bus transportation from Disney Springs to resort hotels, aiming to curb off-site guests from exploiting the area for free park parking. The hosts discuss how this impacts spontaneity at the parks, and Caitie Bear explicitly reminds viewers that no matter how frustrating rule changes are, guests should never take it out on frontline cast members who are simply enforcing the new guidelines.
- Celebrate Soulfully & Yard Fest at Downtown Disney: The team reviews the packed, high-energy crowds at Downtown Disney’s Yard Fest, part of the Celebrate Soulfully Summer Vibes activation running through July 19th. They share a clip of the incredibly popular Drum Major Mickey performance and detail the schedule for meeting special characters like Drum Major Mickey and Powerline Max on Fridays and Saturdays at the Paradise Gardens gazebo. The segment rounds out with a thoughtful reflection on why genuine representation and cultural celebrations in the theme parks matter so much for bringing people together in unity.
- Feature Segment: Three Big “Halfway to Geekmas” Announcements: Because Disney is celebrating halfway to the holidays, the crew drops three major holiday programming teases for this year’s upcoming Geekmas season :
- The Geekmas Rubber Ducky of the Week: The beloved segment returns with all-new weekly ducks. Caitie Bear advocates for a beautiful, glittery snow duck, while Mr. Daps holds out hope for a custom duck wearing a trilby hat and a bow tie.
- An Original Geekmas Song: Geeks Corner’s resident penguin, Harry Larry, is entering the recording studio to write, record, and perform a brand-new holiday track alongside his penguin friends.
- Misinformation’s Holiday Mailbag: A chaotic new segment is coming to the four weeks of Geekmas! Over the next five months, viewers can submit questions via social media or Daps HQ for the character “Misinformation” to answer on-air.
- Live Viewer Comments & Q&A: The show wraps up by tackling live viewer questions, ranging from pitching a Katy Perry and Sam Eagle duet on The Muppet Show to examining trailers for the animated film Hexed. Plus, Caitie and Mr. Daps reminisce about their recent trip to Seattle, joking about how World Cup soccer commentators spent entire broadcasts praising Seattle’s transit, weather, and the fantastic atmosphere at “Seattle Stadium” (Lumen Field) over Los Angeles.
