Walls Are Up as Tangaroa Terrace Tropical Bar & Grill and Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar Are Closed for Refurbishment

Two popular destinations at the Disneyland Hotel are currently closed. Both Tangaroa Terrace Tropical Bar & Grill and Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar are currently closed. Both of these tropical establishments are getting refurbished after being open since 2011 without any major refurbishment. This has changed this spring with different parts of Trader Sam’s getting some attention. Now, both Trader Sam’s and Tangaroa Terrace are closed while work continues.

Daps Magic team member Steven stopped by the Disneyland Resort on Thursday to check out the progress being made on these destinations. Take a look at what guests who stop by the Disneyland Hotel currently will see when visiting these tropical offerings:

According to the Disneyland website, both destinations should be reopening on May 20, 2026.
