Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets

PHOTOS: Take a Look at Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets

It’s almost time to play the music and light the lights for Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets! On May 26th, it will be time for the big show with The Electric Mayhem. Of course, the band has its own agenda… or lack thereof. Nevertheless, they can’t be found anywhere. What starts as a tour of the G-Force Records, recently taken over by The Muppets, turns into a race through town on a stretch limo to make it to the show on time.

Ahead of the opening of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets, Disney has released the menu for the nearby FØØD by Swedish Chef, and also new photos of the outside of the attraction, queue, Scooter, and penguins who are working the board! Take a look below at the newest photos of this new attraction starring The Muppets below!

The Courtyard

With The Muppets taking over G-Force Records, the Courtyard outside has been transformed to reflect their biggest band, The Electric Mayhem. This has led to a new spin for that classic ruby-red guitar that features a vibrant, psychedelic design that is inspired by the classic Muppet car paint job in The Muppet Movie. The piano motif at the base of the guitar now features a golden key as a nod to Dr. Teeth himself!

Halls of Rock

The Muppets were able to take over G-Force Records thanks to the help of Scooter’s uncle, the real estate tycoon and owner of the Muppet Theatre, J.P. Grosse. This has led to them opening the doors for this tour of the studio, where the Muppets have come in and updated the decor. This includes posters in every corner that highlight the iconic band’s larger-than-life career. This will provide plenty of groovy backgrounds for striking poses in front of.

Inside G-Force Records

Once inside G-Force Records, fans will find that the Electric Mayhem are rocking out to one of their favorite tunes, Can You Picture That? On hand is the first-ever Audio-Animatronics figure of Scooter, who is on hand to convince The Electric Mayhem that it is time to head to the show.

This Audio-Animatronics figure of Scooter was brought to life utilizing motion-caption technology on Scooter the Muppet. Just as one would expect, Scooter (the REAL one) was given a full motion-capture suit and then recorded and tracked during a performance. Because of this, Walt Disney Imagineering was able to build and program a figure that looks, moves, and emotes exactly as Scooter does. This comes down to the subtle nuances of the puppetry that David Rudman brings to his performances with Scooter.

G-Force Records has only the finest audio engineers, of course. These are the best penguins in the business! They may, or may not, help Scooter in his efforts to convince The Electric Mayhem that it’s time to stop rocking and hit the road to get to their fans. Time is running short, however!

Thanks to new technological advancements from Muppet Labs, fans will be going for a ride aboard a super-powered vehicle that is parked in the alleyway just behind Studios C. This is known as the Lengthy Immediate Motion Object or L.I.M.O.!
