Refill Station on Main Street at Disneyland

New Refill Station Appears on Main Street, USA

A new refill station has appeared on Main Street, USA. This new station for guests to refill water bottles can be found behind the Market House near the lockers, halfway up Main Street on the right. This is technically on Center Street. The refill station is found on what was a “test wall.” There was also a pay phone there for quite some time as well. It continues a trend of new refill stations being installed throughout the parks at the Disneyland Resort.

Friend of Daps Magic, Spencer, stopped by Disneyland and took the following photos of the new refill station found on the test brick wall. Check out what he discovered here:

The “test wall” goes back to the days when Disneyland was being created. Walt Disney and his Imagineers were figuring out what Main Street should look like in reality, beyond just what was planned in drawings. A test wall was erected to see what different brick styles, colors, textures, and masonry patterns would look like in reality. Ultimately, the wall was built but then never taken down in the rush to get Disneyland opened. How hectic things got can be seen in Disneyland Handcrafted. Today, the wall stands on Main Street, U.S.A. as an unofficial testament to the dedication and ingenuity of Walt Disney and his team over 70 years ago. It is one of those fun things to know and to find when visiting The Happiest Place on Earth!
