BDX Food Scraps Droids at Disneyland

New Disneyland Droid Directs Food Scraps in Tomorrowland

A new droid has arrived at Disneyland to direct guests where to put their food scraps. The droid is the newest figure to arrive at the Disneyland Resort, which helps guests sort their discarded waste after eating. First off, there was a country bear figure that arrived at the Hungry Bear barbecue Jamboree. Next came one in Cars Land at Cozy Cone Motel Snacks. The most recent is found at Galactic Grill. It has the look of a BDX droid and carries a sign that directs guests, “Food Scraps Only.”

Friend of Daps Magic, Spencer, found this droid in Tomorrowland while wandering past Galactic Grill. Check out the photos he took during this adventure in the parks.

The real BDX droids are currently on a world tour with stops at Tokyo Disney Resort, Disneyland Paris, and Walt Disney World Resort. These droids are incredible. To bring them to life, they learn how to walk and interact via a virtual simulator. They then learn to walk physically, and each has its own distinct personality and name. The whole process really is incredible and was shown to Daps Magic on a visit to Walt Disney Imagineering in 2024.

The BDX droids first appeared at Disneyland in the fall of 2023. Since then, they returned to Disneyland’s Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge during Season of the Force last year and then appeared at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event.
