On this day in 2005, a themed Boeing 737-400 airplane named the “Magic of Disneyland” was unveiled at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. It celebrated the park’s 50th year and was the second Disneyland-themed Alaska plane. The aircraft was bright blue with Tinker Bell adorning the fuselage and golden Mickey Mouse ears on the tail. Mickey and Minnie, along with 50 children from the YMCA, took part in the inaugural flight and ribbon-cutting ceremony. [20 years ago in 2025]
