Toy Story 5 arrived on Disney+ on September 23, 2026. In the first five days that it was on Disney’s streaming service, it became the most popular title among subscribers. Throughout the course of its premiere week, it added up to 20 million views globally over the course of those five days. This made it the platform’s most-watched film during its premiere week.
The strength of Toy Story 5’s arrival adds to the strength of the Toy Story franchise. It is the most-watched film franchise on Disney+. Fans of Buzz, Woody, Jessie, and the rest of the toys have watched over 2 billion hours globally.
Since the teaser trailer for Toy Story 5 was released, the franchise picked up an additional 168 million hours of views. While the world was introduced to Woody and Buzz in 1995, they are loved just as much today as they were then. Now, the entire franchise can be viewed together on Disney+.
The arrival of Toy Story 5 was one of the top 10 theatrical film premieres on Disney+ globally to date. This film joins its four predecessors, all of which are regularly ranking in the top 20 movies on Disney’s streaming service each year.
