The Disney Adventure has reached a major milestone in its journey to join the Disney Cruise Line fleet. When the Disney Adventure joins the fleet, it will be the biggest ship in it. Captain Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse were on hand in Papenburg, Germany, for the float out of this massive ship into the river Ems.
The Disney Cruise Line shared the following photos of the Disney Adventure float out:

The team has an exciting few weeks ahead as they begin making some major updates to the ship’s exterior. One of the most anticipated milestones is the installation of the iconic Disney Cruise Line funnels on the upper decks. But this time, it’s not just the classic two funnels—Disney Adventure will feature four funnels! And there’s more magic on the horizon. Soon, we will start to see the addition of the iconic yellow lifeboats on the sides of the ship and thrilling new attractions, including Marvel Landing’s Groot Galaxy Spin and Disney Cruise Line’s first-ever coaster, Ironcycle Test Run.
The Disney Adventure will join the Disney Cruise Line fleet in Singapore for its maiden voyage on December 15, 2025. This will be shortly after the Disney Destiny, a Wish-class ship themed to “heroes and villains,” joins the fleet.
The new ship has Mickey Mouse on the filigree on its bow. The stern will feature sculptures of both Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse. This is a first for a Disney Cruise Line ship.
The Disney Adventure, formerly the Global Dream, was purchased by Disney in 2022. It is a Global-class ship and will sail out of Singapore for at least five years. The ship is being constructed by Meyer Werft in Papenburg, Germany.
The Disney Adventure will offer sailings that are full of magic. This includes a Captain Jack Sparrow show, a Marvel Style Studio, a Disney Princess tea, a Duffy and Friends show and store, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, and a whole lot more. All of Daps Magic’s coverage and details about this ship can be found on our Disney Adventure page.
