The area surrounding the Disneyland Resort is forecast to have many rainy days in the coming days. Rainy days at Disneyland can be fun if properly prepared (read Daps Magic’s guide here). They can also be incredibly relaxing as the rain trickles down. Many people want to just push through the rain and get as much out of their Disneyland day as possible. There is another approach on rainy days as well. This is the slower and more relaxed approach. Instead of just trying to pack as much into a day, go the other way. Treasure every moment of a rainy day moment and relax as the rain rain rain comes down down down.
There are quite a few ways to relax and treasure the moments. It can mean grabbing a cup of coffee and enjoying the ambiance through the window while sitting at a table indoors. Both Starbucks locations at Disney and Disney California Adventure are great for this. There are also some fun places to get food and enjoy on a rainy day as well. To continue the relaxing experience, it can be fun to oscillate between these things and then go on a relaxing ride. Below are three favorite relaxing rides for a rainy day at Disneyland (there may be a variation of this article for Disney California Adventure at another date).

Haunted Mansion
The Haunted Mansion is a masterpiece of an attraction. On a rainy day, this stately old mansion in New Orleans Square looks even more foreboding as guests make their way through the gardens and onto the front porch. The attraction offers a lovely getaway from the rain and the grim grinning ghosts bring a nostalgic warmth as guests float through the halls aboard their doom buggies. The Haunted Mansion is always a fun attraction. On a rainy day, it becomes even more magical.

Disneyland Railroad
The Disneyland Railroad is a fantastic way to get out of the rain but also be able to see and enjoy it. Grab a cup of coffee on Main Street and hop aboard the train. Then as the train circles Disneyland, see some beautiful rainy-day vistas of the park while not getting drenched. The great thing about the train is, in general one can stay on as long as they want!

Mark Twain
The Mark Twain is absolutely magical on a rainy day. Stick under an upper deck to stay dry and enjoy seeing the New Orleans Square and Frontierland as the steamboat sails around the Rivers of America. It’s a great idea to grab a cup of coffee ahead of riding this one as well. Something is soothing about cruising with the peace and natural beauty of the rain coming down on Tom Sawyer Island and the Rivers of America.
There are many ways to enjoy and even relax on a rainy day at Disneyland. These are just three ways that the Daps Magic team enjoys regularly. Other relaxing attractions could include Peter Pan’s Flight, Pirates of the Caribbean, or Snow White’s Enchanted Wish.
