On this day in 1955, actor and comedian Gilbert Gottfried was born. He became famous for his exaggerated nasal voice, controversial comedy, and habit of squinting. Gottfried is best known by Disney fans for voicing the parrot Iago in the ‘Aladdin’ film and television series. He named Iago as his all-time favorite role. Gottfried also appeared in ‘Muppets Tonight,’ ‘Hannah Montana,’ ‘Adventures in Wonderland,’ ‘Bonkers,’ and several other Disney shows. [70th birthday in 2025]
