On this day in 2000, the 45 Years of Magic Parade, later known as Parade of the Stars, debuted at Disneyland. The parade was partially inspired by the Noah’s Ark sequence from ‘Fantasia 2000,’ and originally featured its musical selection, “Pomp and Circumstance.” Parade units included the Blue Fairy, the Disney princesses, Tarzan, The Lion King, and Mickey and Friends. Seventy guests in tutus and animal hats also participated in the parade each day. [25 years ago in 2025]
