A delightful and delicious new addition to Downtown Disney District is opening today at the Disneyland Resort. Disney Wonderful World of Sweets is opening in the Downtown Disney District at 3:00 PM today, January 22, 2025. This new confectionary has two kitchens where guests can watch some of their favorite sweet treats being made, a plethora of candy offerings, some new characters, and also some exclusive offerings!
The Disneyland Resort invited Daps Magic for a preview of this new Downtown Disney District destination ahead of its official opening. The store is bright, it’s happy and is full of details that Disney fans will love.
Disney Wonderful World of Sweets is also the home to several new characters that are exclusive to the location. This includes a new popcorn bucket character resembling a popcorn kernel. The character popcorn bucket is appropriately named Poppi. There are also some other characters that can be found in sweet form in the shop as well. This includes Jimmi, Bonni, Fluffi, and Lolli. Each of these characters are a sweet treat with a name inspired by the treat itself.
Perhaps the biggest highlight of the new shop, though, is the Werther’s Original Caramel popcorn that is being created and sold there. This is just like what is purchased at EPCOT in the Germany Pavilion, even the same recipe! Having tasted it, it tastes just as delicious (if not better!?).
Expect Disney Wonderful World of Sweets to be a popular shopping destination in the Downtown Disney District. The decor has a way of just making guests feel joyful. The treats are… well, delicious. The new costumes for the Cast Members are happy-looking. The whole thing is a very positive addition to the Disneyland Resort.
Along with getting to tour Disney Wonderful World of Sweets, Daps Magic was also given a preview of Disney Storyland Boutique. This new and distinct shop in Downtown Disney District will be opening on Friday morning (January 24, 2025) at 9:00 AM. It will have some incredible and cute merchandise, some of which comes from Japan! Daps Magic will have a look at this today.
