Disney Cruise Line to Livestream Disney Treasure Christening

The Disney Cruise Line has announced that it will be livestreaming the christening of the Disney Treasure. This special event will be taking place on November 19, 2024, at 8:00 PM ET. The news comes just days after the Disney Treasure was involved in a rescue at sea while making its way from Europe to its new home port at Port Canaveral, Florida.

The christening of a ship is a maritime tradition that brings good luck to the ship, its crew, and all of those who sail aboard the vessel. The Disney Cruise Line promises that this christening ceremony will be unlike any that has been done before.

The announcement of this christening comes as the Disney Treasure arrived at its home port in Port Canaveral, Florida. Captain Mickey Mouse and Captain Minnie Mouse were both on hand for this milestone moment as the ship arrived at its new home port from Papenberg, Germany. The ship also played all seven of its musical arrangements on its horn.

The Disney Treasure will be full of magical experiences from across The Walt Disney Company for guests to enjoy when they cruise aboard her. This will include experiences that come from Disney Animation, Pixar, Star Wars, and Marvel along with the dynamic tales from beloved Disney Parks attractions. This will be done through captivating and immersive experiences on the high seas. There will also be a bar inspired by the Haunted Mansion and a stage show that features the journey of Moana. The Disney Treasure promises to have something for everyone in the family to enjoy.

The first cruise for the Disney Treasure will be a seven-night Eastern Caribbean cruise when it departs on December 21st. This will be followed by the inaugural season of seven-night itineraries to the Eastern and Western Caribbean from Port Canaveral.
