On this day in 2016, the first of three Hawaiian Airlines planes themed to ‘Moana’ was unveiled. Actors Dwayne Johnson and Auli’i Cravalho were in attendance in Honolulu for the debut. Three designs promoted the then-upcoming release of the ‘Moana’ film. The custom decals adorned the Airbus A330s with Maui, Heihei, Pua, and Moana herself. Even the overhead luggage bins were decorated! The special livery was in place until March 2017.]
