Star Wars Day Through the Lens of Mr. Daps' Camera at Disneyland

Looking Through the Lens: Photos from Star Wars Day at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

May the 4th was the annual celebration of all that is Star Wars. At Disneyland, the center of this celebration was found at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge on Star Wars Day. On that day, I stopped by the Disneyland Resort to enjoy being around other Star Wars fans and just capture moments and things that jumped out at me. The following photos is a look at Star Wars Day on Batuu through the perspective of camera lens. I had some fun editing them and giving them a grittier look as it felt more “Star Wars” to me. It was a lovely day full of celebration and happiness from a LOT of fans. I hope you enjoy these photos! Let’s look through my lens, shall we?

I entered Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge through the Resistance camp and my first view was the X-Wing. The line for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance was long and full of people in Star Wars outfits or bounds.
My next stop was one of my favorite places, the Millennium Falcon. It wasn’t as crazy busy as I was expecting it to be. Many people in lines for merchandise or Oga’s Cantina.
The Millennium Falcon was as beautiful as ever!
Nearby, people had gathered to watch the arrival of First Order troops and Kylo Ren.
Kylo Ren arrives.
He, unsurprisingly, was not happy…
In general, Batuu was VERY busy.
A droid kept guard over Stroomtrooper helmets that were on sale as popcorn buckets.
These Stormtrooper helmets were quite popular!
While there were droids moving around the land, including R2-D2 and BD-X droids, this one wasn’t going anywhere.
This BD-X droid was enjoying scanning the people who surrounded him.
This droid was VERY focused…
The BD-X droid really is a curious little fellow.

The scans continue.
Time to scan the speeder.

This was a very popular place to be.

A lovely evening on Batuu.
Ending the day in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge where I started, at the X-Wing.

It was a wonderful day at Disneyland for celebrating Star Wars! It was so fun to see friends and new friends sharing their love of this franchise and the stories and characters that have come from it. It also was incredible seeing all the lightsabers in front of the Millennium Falcon lighting up the night for fireworks. Star Wars Day was a magical day full of memories and you could say the Force was strong with it and all who were there!
