On this day in 1988, the Disney Channel aired Lady and the Tramp for the first time. Not only would this be the first time that this love story about dogs aired on the Disney Channel, it would be the first time this show aired on television anywhere! The movie was originally released in theaters in 1955. Years later, an animated sequel was released for this film in 2001. This was followed by a live-action/CGI hybrid remake in 2021 for Disney+.
