This Spring, National Geographic will be sharing its television special on the transformation of EPCOT over the past few years. “EPCOT Becoming” will follow the journey to transform the theme park into a complete experience of edutainment!

EPCOT BECOMING showcases the reimagining of EPCOT® for a new generation. Watch as Walt Disney World Resort teams rise to the challenge of bringing the constantly evolving park into the future, from creating an innovative new coaster to exploring the wonder of water and culminating with the debut of the next legacy in nighttime spectaculars: “Luminous The Symphony of Us.”
The transformation began in 2019 and involved some incredible additions to the park including Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, World Celebration, Nature, and Discovery, Harmonious, and now Luminous. This refurbishment of the park has brought a new life to EPCOT, bringing new generations along to tell exciting new stories. The new ideas in this park encourage guests to take care of our planet and each other while honoring the nostalgia of EPCOT from the 1980s.
