Marvel has announced a 4-issue mini series that will serve as a prelude to the upcoming X-Men ’97 animated series on Disney Plus. The cover will feature updated fan art that Russell Dauterman a decade ago. The comic series will debut in March, and the series will be “coming soon.” It’s safe to say with the comics coming within this year, the series will too. It’s not known exactly when, but possibly not long after the comics debuts. The official press release is below.

For the cover, Dauterman updated a piece of X-Men fan art he did years ago—the very piece that caught Marvel Comics’ attention!
