On this day in 1938, an East Coast premiere of ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’ was held at Radio City Music Hall in New York. It was the first Disney picture shown at Radio City and ran for five weeks. In a full-circle moment, a musical production of ‘Snow White,’ known as ‘Snow White Live,’ would premiere in the venue in 1979. Its success saved the Radio City Music Hall from being torn down!
