Today a new icon at EPCOT was dedicated at the soon-to-be-open Dreams Point. The “Walt the Dreamer” statue was dedicated with Walt Disney Legacy Award recipient Cast Members on hand. This new statue is the new focal point of the beautiful new World Celebration Gardens just behind Spaceship Earth. The dedication moment had EPCOT Vice President Kartika Rodriguez joined by by the Walt Disney World Ambassadors, Imagineer Scott Mallwitz and the Voices of Liberty to celebrate the original dreamer, Walt Disney. The area officially opens to Walt Disney World Resort guests on December 5, 2023.

The “Walt the Dreamer” statue and surrounding World Celebration Gardens will be appropriately opening to the public on Walt Disney’s birthday. This will undoubtably be a popular destination for Disney fans as they make their way through EPCOT.
