Beast’s Library, an attraction that allowed guests to enter the world of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Beauty and the Beast has closed in Disney California Adventure. Found in the Disney Animation building, there were magical elements of the film found, including the magical rose. There was also an experience where guests can find out what Disney character they are most like. This has been open at Disney California Adventure since 2001.
Originally, the attraction was part of a progression of experiences in the Disney Animation building. Guests would enter through Disney Animation’s Lobby and head into the Sorcerer’s Workshop. There guests could learn about the origins of animation. The following room was Beast’s Library. From there guests would head into Ursula’s Grotto where they could overdub scenes from The Little Mermaid. This was the final room that could be experienced before returning to the main lobby.
Daps Magic team members Roger and Steven stopped by to check out Beast’s Library on its final day of operation at Disney California Adventure. Below are photos and video of its final day in operation.
In the future, this location will dedicated to Disney Imagination Campus. This was formerly known as Disney Youth Programs and teaches students, teachers, and parents can utilize Imagination Powered Learning to explore potential and how they feel about learning.
