Welcome to this week’s Disneyland Refurbishment Report. This report will look a bit different. There are some updates regarding refurbishments, but the biggest updates this week have to do with the transformation that’s happening at the Disneyland Resort as they prepare to welcome in the holiday season on November 10.
The Mark Twain Riverboat continues its extended refurbishment in Fowler’s Harbor. Space Mountain is about to finish up its refurbishment, and will reopen on Friday, October 27. Work continues in Mickey’s Toontown at CenTOONial Park. Most of that area reopens on Monday, October 30, while Goofy’s How-To-Play Yard closes for refurbishment on that day as well. The Mickey and Minnie Fountain, as well as Goofy’s How-To-Play Yard will reopen on November 10, just in time for the holiday season.
Speaking of the holiday season, Disney California Adventure has started decorating for the holiday season. The firefly jars along the trail near Grizzly Peak River Run and Redwood Creek Challenge Trail have started to go up.
Over at Disneyland, snow and icicles have started to appear on Sleeping Beauty Castle. Decorations have started to go up in and around New Orleans Square.
In Fantasyland, “it’s a small world” is now closed for its transformation into “it’s small world” holiday. This attraction reopens on Friday, November 10. That same day also the beginning of Holidays at the Disneyland Resort.
Well, that’s about it for this week. Hope you are excited about the upcoming holiday season because it will be here before you know it! Have a great week, and we will share more soon!
