Welcome back to the Disneyland Refurbishment Report! This week, we catch up on the extensive refurbishment happening to the Mark Twain Riverboat in Fowler’s Harbor. There is a new paddle wheel on the Mark Twain. The lights and the plaque under the wheel house that says “Mark Twain” were removed. It also appears that the smoke stacks are going to be repainted, which will give the Mark Twain a nice new look once again.
We now head across the Park to Tomorrowland as the refurbishment on Space Mountain continues. Some of the scrim around the outdoor queue area has been taken down. The attraction is scheduled to reopen on Friday, October 27.
From Tomorrowland, we make our way to Mickey’s Toontown. Work continues on CenTOONial Park as some of the grass area near the Mickey & Minnie fountain has been replaced with bricks. CenTOONial Park is set to reopen on October 30, while the fountain is set to reopen on November 10, right in time for the holiday season to begin. Goofy’s How-To-Play Yard will then close on October 30 for a short refurbishment, and reopen on November 10. This information was confirmed on X (formerly Twitter) by Scott Gustin.
Holidays at the Disneyland Resort begin soon, and work has already begun on transforming the Park into a winter wonderland. Lights have gone up on the “it’s a small world” facade, snow is starting to appear on the rooftops of Sleeping Beauty Castle, and the trees along Main Street, U.S.A. are starting to get their extra lights. “it’s a small world” will close at the end of Disneyland’s operating day on Sunday, October 22, and reopen as “it’s a small world” holiday on Friday, November 10.
Over at Disney California Adventure, work continues on Schmoozies in Hollywood Land. That location is now scheduled to reopen on November 3.
Thank you for following along on this journey throughout Disneyland as we keep you updated on the latest refurbishment projects happening. More to come soon! Have a great week!
