Currently, Hurricane Hilary is a Category 2 hurricane heading toward California. It is expected that the most intense part of the storm will be hitting the Disneyland Resort area tomorrow mid-morning. At this point, CHOC Walk in the Park is not being impacted by the storm.

The storm has already made for firsts in California and the Disneyland Resort. It is the first time that there has been a Tropical Storm Warning for the area. The storm is expected to cause damage from its rain and the flash flooding that could follow, along with the wind. California Governor Gavin Newsom has issued a state of emergency due to the storm.

“Governor Gavin Newsom proclaimed a state of emergency for much of Southern California to support Hurricane Hilary response and recovery efforts as the state continues mobilizing and coordinating resources ahead of the storm’s forecasted impacts starting today,” Newsom’s office said in a statement on Saturday.

The Disneyland Resort always put safety at a premium. When the storm does arrive, please follow the instructions of the Cast Members.
