Disneyland’s Monorail Closed Through the End of August

The Monorail at Disneyland closed today and will be closed for the next month and a half. The news could be found today on Disneyland website’s Monorail page which said the following:

The Disneyland Monorail will be closed for refurbishment from July 5, 2023, to August 31, 2023.

About the Disneyland Monorail

The Disneyland Monorail was the first transportation system of its kind in America. The current version combines the sleek styling of the 1959 classic with new technologies and subtle design changes, bringing a retro-futuristic look and contemporary feel to the timeless Disneyland icon.

Today, the Disneyland Monorail is comprised of the Red, Blue and Orange Mark VII trains. Because the system uses a 600-volt DC power source, it emits no direct exhaust or pollutants into the atmosphere.

Last Sunday, the Daps Magic team went aboard the Monorail and shot a POV ride-through video aboard this attraction. This also gave a look at the construction happening on the transformation of the Downtown Disney District. The full ride can be seen here:
