New “Frozen Holiday Surprise” and Other Entertainment Coming to Walt Disney World Resort This Holiday Season

As Disney continues to celebrate Halfway to the Holidays, more and more announcements are coming out about how the holiday season will be celebrated this year at the Disney Parks and beyond! Announcements have included the new Disney Jollywood Nights at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, outfits for Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse at Disneyland, entertainment on the Disney Cruise Line, and more! Speaking of entertainment, there are some new and returning entertainment offerings coming to Walt Disney World Resort this holiday season.

As Disney celebrates Halfway to the Holidays, festive cheer is already in the air at Walt Disney World Resort. This year, celebrate the season of all that is merry and bright in a magical way with new jolly experiences, glittering sights, sounds and scrumptious sweet treats. Plus, thrill to the return of fan-favorite Disney holiday traditions., like Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. (Matt Stroshane, Photographer)

Magic Kingdom

First off, at Magic Kingdom a new nighttime entertainment offering will be lighting up Cinderella Castle with magic during the holiday seasons. The Frozen Holiday Surprise will allow guests to join Elsa, Anna, Olaf, Kristoff, and the Snowgies to experience this new Frozen entertainment offering that promises to illuminate the castle in an entirely new way. This Frozen Holiday Surprise will be offered throughout the holidays during normal park hours at the Magic Kingdom and also during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Disney teased that there will be more details released about this show at a later date. Daps Magic will continue to follow this story and share the updates when they become available.

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party will also be offered on 25 select nights throughout the holiday season at Magic Kingdom!

EPCOT

At EPCOT an annual tradition will be returning to entertain and inspire guests throughout the holiday season. The annual Candlelight Processional will be offered at the America Gardens Theatre nightly starting on November 24th and continuing through December 30th. There will be some other traditions returning to EPCOT during the Festival of the Holidays that include storytellers, musical acts and performers, and also the Holiday Kitchens will be returning to World Showcase during the holiday season.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios there will also be holiday magic to be experienced. Once again The Hollywood Tower Hotel will come to life for its yuletide show at night in the park. Over at Toy Story Land, guests will be able to visit with Woody, Jessie and Buzz who will all be dressed in their holiday best.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

At Disney’s Animal Kingdom, the popular Merry Menagerie will be returning to the park for the holiday season. This brings a collection of wintery animals in the form of artisan-sculpted puppets will be once again delighting guests who visit the park.

Disney Springs

There will also be some holiday delights to be experienced by guests visiting Disney Springs. While strolling through the Town Center, guests can experience snow in Florida! The beautiful and popular Disney Springs Christmas Tree Stroll will also be making its return.

Santa Claus

What would the holidays be without Santa Claus? Disney has shared that guests visiting any of the four Walt Disney World Resort theme parks, water park, and also Disney Springs, will be able to meet with Santa Claus and share their Christmas wishlist. They will also be able to get a photo snapped with this jolly old elf. Want to see Santa dressed up in his tropical best? Head on over to meet him at the water park!
