2023 Holiday Entertainment Announced for Disney Cruise Line

This week Disney is celebrating Halfway to the Holidays. As part of this celebration, announcements about the upcoming holiday season are being made throughout the week. Yesterday this included a look at the outfits that Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse will be wearing this holiday season at Disneyland. Today, the Disney Cruise Line announce holiday entertainment that Disney cruisers will have the opportunity to experience later this year about Very Merrytime cruises. Below is a look at what was announced today by Disney.

New Tree Lighting Ceremony

A new tree lighting ceremony will be happening aboard Very Merrytime sailings on the first night of the cruises. Guests will be invited to gather around the three-deck-tall tree in the ship’s atrium for this special moment. During the lighting ceremony, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and Goofy will invite guests to sing along to multiple classic holiday tunes. This will be followed by a countdown that will bring the tree to life and also introduce the guests of honor (a jolly old man in a red coat perhaps?).

“Deck” the Halls at Mickey and Minnie’s Holiday Party

Mickey and Minnie’s Holiday Party is another brand-new experience on the Very Merrytime cruises. This will be an opportunity for families to go to the upper decks for a “one-of-a-kind celebration at sea filled with tidings of good cheer.” This will be a high-energy deck party that is thrown by Mickey and Minnie. There will also be other Disney friends found during the deck party as they come together to celebrate friendship, love, and family with a mix of both classic and original holiday songs.

More Holiday Experiences

Along with the entertainment offerings, the Disney Cruise Line “decks and halls will be filled with boughs of holly from bow-to-stern during Very Merrytime cruises.” Aboard these holiday cruises, guests will also be finding their favorite Disney characters in new holiday attire. There will also be themed Very Merrytime activities for the entire family to enjoy, carolers singing contemporary version of favorite holiday songs, and of course commemorative merchandise and festive food and beverage offerings.

Guests aboard cruises from Florida and California will get to experience the magic of the holidays at sea during this holiday 2023 season.

There will be several different options for holiday sailings with the Disney Cruise Line as well. There will be the option to sail from a new South Florida home in Fort Lauderdale on four or five-night Very Merrytime cruises aboard the Disney Dream to destinations in the Caribbean and Bahamas. Also in Florida, there will be the option to cruise aboard the Disney Wish or Disney Fantasy from Port Canaveral to The Bahamas and Caribbean. On the West Coast, the Disney Magic will sail to Baja and the Mexican Riviera from San Diego for holiday sailings before wrapping the season up in Galveston, Texas with Very Merrytime cruises to the western Caribbean.

Holiday Merriment in 2024

Looking forward to the holidays in 2024, there will be even more holiday merriment to experience aboard the Disney Cruise Line ships. From mid-November through December 2024, families will be able to experience the merriest season of them all with Disney Cruise Line from two home ports in Florida along with some cruises departing from Galveston, Texas.

There will be three and four-night Bahamian Very Merrytime voyages aboard the Disney Wish from Port Canaveral and four and five-night cruises to The Bahamas and the Caribbean from Fort Lauderdale aboard the Disney Dream. The Disney Dream will be offering a variety of four-night Very Merrytime sailings to The Bahamas along with some six and seven-night itineraries in November and Late December. On some of these voyages, the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy will also include a day at the Disney Cruise Line’s new destination at Lighthouse Point during the 2024 holiday season. This is located on the island of Eleuthera at Lighthouse Point. This beach retreat will celebrate Bahamian culture coupled with the magic of a Disney vacation.

There will also be additional sailings in the fall that were announced yesterday by the Disney Cruise Line. You can book your next Disney Cruise Line voyage through Mouseways Travel, the official travel partner of Daps Magic, at no cost and with plenty of extra services and Disney magic from the Mouseways team.
