Today Disney gave a first look at Moon Girl from the upcoming Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur ahead of the series arrival on the Disney Channel and then Disney+ along with the character’s arrival at Disney California Adventure. Moon Girl will be meeting with guests for a limited time starting on February 15, 2023. Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur will arrive first on Disney Channel on February 10 followed by Disney+ on February 15th.
Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur follows the adventures of a super-genius who is 13 years old named Luella Lafayette (aka Moon Girl) along with her 10-ton T-Rex, Devil Dinosaur, whom she inadvertently brings to present-day New York City. Together, they work to protect the Lower East Side neighborhood in New York City from danger.
Moon Girl’s first day at Disney California Adventure will be a special one. It will include special entertainment including a cavalcade on Hollywood Blvd and a stage show on Hollywood Backlot Stage. After this special day, she will still be around to meet with guests for a limited time.
The arrival of Moon Girl comes as the Disneyland Resort has its Celebrate Soulfully celebration during Black History Month. This celebration includes food, entertainment, and other experiences that highlight Black experiences. The celebration will be in February and beyond. Read more about Celebrate Soulfully here.
