Walt Disney World Resort Modifying Guest Experiences

Walt Disney World Resort is modifying its guest experiences for both hotel guests and Annual Passholders. The changes were announced this week by Disney Parks, Experiences and Products chairman Josh D’Amaro.

For guests at the Walt Disney World Resort hotels, parking will be complimentary parking instead of the $15 – $25 per vehicle charge. Traditionally, parking was free for guests at the Walt Disney World Resort hotels. This changed in 2018. This new parking policy is going into effect immediately.

The reservation policy is also changing for Annual Passholders at the Walt Disney World Resort. Annual Passholders will be able to enter the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks after 2:00 PM without a reservation. The only exception is on Saturdays and Sundays at the Magic Kingdom, traditionally the busiest days, and park at Walt Disney World Resort.

Guests who purchase the Genie+, which helps guests gain access to attractions quicker, will also be seeing a change. Genie+ will offer digital Disney PhotoPass downloads. An exact date for when this will begin has not been announced yet. It will be in the coming months.
