The official beginning of Disney100 at Disneyland Resort is on January 27, 2023. This is a celebration of the 100th anniversary of The Walt Disney Company. However, there are already elements showing up at the Happiest Place on Earth! This includes Sleeping Beauty Castle getting fountains and decorations, Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse statues, and a new Esplanade music loop to name a few things. The blue monorail has also appeared with a new wrap in celebration of Disney100 as well. This glimmering new look is absolutely beautiful in the sun and features the Disney100 logo on the front and Mickey Mouse and friends on the back of the monorail. It has an iridescent silver that creates a rainbow effect as it glides above the skies of the Disneyland Resort.
The current fleet of Mark VII Monorails arrived at the Disneyland Resort in 2008. There are three Monorails at the Disneyland Resort currently that take guests on the 2.5 mile trip from Tomorrowland to the Disneyland Hotel and back. The Monorail has been a fixture in the skies of the Disneyland Resort since 1959. The current fleet has been given multiple looks through the years for different celebrations. Most recently, the fleet all showed off different version of Mickey Mouse.
