One of the first things every guest hears when visiting the Disneyland Resort before they arrive in the parks is the music in the Esplanade. This loop of music is often comprised of many fan-favorite songs that are specific to the season. For much of the year, these are general Disney songs that are related one way or another to the Disneyland Resort. Then there are specific loops of music that played during the Halloween and Holiday celebrations at the Disneyland Resort. For many years, the Esplanade loop of music that is played for most of the year has been mostly the same, with a few tweaks here or there. This has changed as Disney100 prepares to kick off, however.
On January 25, 2023, a new Esplanade loop of music could be heard by guests visiting the Disneyland Resort. This music has music that spans different resorts and time periods in the history of the Disney Parks. This new loop is a compilation of Disney songs from the Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort from the last 67 years. The loop includes a variety of songs that each guest will find themselves finding some favorites. The Daps Magic team has done its best to recreate the Disney100 Esplanade Loop that is currently being played at the Disneyland Resort on Spotify. The playlist can be listened to below. The Disney100 celebration begins at the Disneyland Resort on January 27, 2023. It will include new nighttime spectaculars Wondrous Journeys and World of Color – ONE, the opening of Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, entertainment, food, merchandise, and more.
