The Disney100 celebration began at Disneyland on Friday January 27, 2023. With this celebration, there are many new and exciting things to experience at the Disneyland Resort. The Dapper Dans are performing new music to add to the new experiences during this celebration. The Disneyland barbershop quartet has added some new songs to their performances that help commemorate the 100th anniversary of The Walt Disney Company. The music they sing pulls from several different eras in the history of Disney.
The Daps Magic team caught several performances of the Dapper Dans on the first day of Disney100. The videos of their new music can be found below. In their set at the Main Street Firehouse, they sang the following tunes:
- There’s a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow (modified to reference Walt Disney’s dream)
- You’ve Got a Friend in Me
- Bare Necessities
- Under the Sea
- Musical Celebration of the Happiest Place on Earth
- When You Wish Upon a Star
The Dapper Dans are also singing It’s Wondrous with the Disneyland Band during the March Down Main Street that happens on most days at Disneyland. This generally happens at around 11:45 AM with the Disneyland Band starting at Sleeping Beauty Castle. The band is joined by Mickey Mouse and his pals at the castle before they all march down Main Street, USA. Along the way, the Dapper Dans join the parade and the perform with the Disneyland Band and Disney characters in front of Main Street Station in Town Square.
