On Christmas day, a new Doctor Who trailer was released ahead of the 60th-anniversary specials arriving in about a year. The trailer shows fans what will be seen next year when the 60th-anniversary specials arrive on the BBC in the UK and Disney+ everywhere else next November. The trailer shows what the 14th Doctor, played by David Tenant, will be up against.
Executive Producer, Russell T Davies had this to say on the release “We wanted to give fans, friends and families a lovely little Christmas present – with a promise that 2023 will be a riot of Doctor Who goodness!”
David Tenant is returning as the 14th Doctor after the departure of Jodie Whittaker. In the trailer, Catherine Tate’s Donna Noble says, “Sometimes, I think there’s something missing… Like I had something lovely and it’s gone.” Most of the trailer has Tate and Tenant, but the new Doctor Who appears at the end.
