Disney Andreas Deja loves Walt Disney’s The Jungle Book. He loves it so much that he helped The Walt Disney Family Museum curate theWalt Disney’s The Jungle Book: Making a Masterpiece exhibit that takes a beautiful in-depth look at this film. On January 7, 2023, Dejas will be hosting a discussion with some animation greats about this film and its impact and legacy on the animation world. This fundraising event is called Reflections on Walt Disney’s The Jungle Book (1967) with Curator Andreas Deja and Friends.
At this special event at The Walt Disney Family Museum, Andreas Deja will be joined by Brad Bird, Pete Docter, Don Hahn, John Musker, and Bruce W. Smith to discuss the artistry, impact, and legacy of The Jungle Book. These are people who have impacted Disney animation in a great way talking about a film that did the same. This will be followed by a reception that will have Andreas Deja, Don Hahn, John Musker, and Bruce Smith.
The talk will take place in the theater from 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM. The reception will follow in the main lobby from 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM.
The reception will include food and beverages along with a silent auction with exclusive, original artworks. Guests will also receive a poster of The Jungle Book as well.
The fundraiser reception and silent auction will be raising funds for the educational initiatives at the museum. This includes The Walt Disney Family Museum Animation Academy.
