Last weekend there were multiple announcements made about upcoming happenings at the Disneyland Resort at the D23 Expo. This included new entertainment, attractions, dining options, and the arrival of the Incredible Hulk at Avengers Campus! There was also news about the transformation that has already begun for Paradise Pier Hotel at the Disneyland Resort. This transformation was announced in April and already changes could be seen happening around the hotel. Most recently, a new entrance into Disney California Adventure opened. Although a transformation to a Pixar-themed hotel had been announced, the name of this hotel had not been until the D23 Expo.
At the D23 Expo, it was announced that the Paradise Pier Hotel will soon become the Pixar Place Hotel. The reimagined hotel will bring to life the artistry of Pixar in its new contemporary setting. Pixar artwork and decore will be found throughout the hotel. There will also be many different areas for guests to enjoy, including a new splash pad area themed to Finding Nemo.
Along with the new theme for the hotel, there will also be new food offerings. A Southern California local favorite, Great Maple, will open a flagship restaurant on the first floor of Pixar Place Hotel. It will also operate other food and beverage locations throughout the hotel. This will be a huge win for guests who love fried chicken and maple bacon donuts! Great Maple is a modern American eatery that specializes in upscale comfort food with a twist. It serves fresh takes on American classics for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
The changes coming to what is currently known as the Paradise Pier Hotel will reinvigorate the Disneyland Resort’s third hotel while also connecting it with Disney California Adventure’s Pixar Pier, which is just a short walk from the hotel through the new gate to Disney California Adventure that is exclusively available for hotel guests.
