Incredible Changes Coming To Disney California Adventure Park In 2018

Pixar Fest is bringing big changes to the Disneyland Resort. The biggest being that Toy Story Mania! is getting new Pixar neighbors on the pier!

The first new neighborhood in the new permanent land will be inspired by “The Incredibles”! California Screamin’ will be permanently re-imagined to fit the theme of The Incredibles, named Incredicoaster, will feature a new queue area, character experiences, and more! To prepare for this incredible transformation, California Screamin’ will close Jan. 8. The next area will be on the western side of the boardwalk and will feature “Inside Out” with a new family attraction that will be announced at a later date.

The last area will serve as a celebration to many different Pixar stories, with Mickey’s Fun Wheel getting all new gondolas to feature Pixar characters, and the iconic pie-eyed Mickey Mouse only remaining on the Paradise Bay Side. Games of the Boardwalk will also be entirely transformed, with each game bringing families in to create all new memories with Pixar-inspired games and win prizes! Mickey’s Fun Wheel, Games of the Boardwalk and Sideshow Shirts will close Jan. 8 to begin this transformation.

The final largest change will be the re-theming of Ariel’s Grotto and Cove Bar will be transformed to an all new lounge and grill that will offer dazzling views of Pixar Pier and Paradise Bay! The remaining areas of the land that is now Paradise Pier, including Paradise Gardens, Silly Symphony Swings, Jumpin’ Jellyfish, Goofy’s Sky School, Golden Zephyr and The Little Mermaid ~ Ariel’s Undersea Adventure, will become a new land called Paradise Park.

Pixar Pier will open during the limited-time Pixar Fest celebration, which begins April 13. The celebration will include the new “Together Forever – A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular” fireworks as well as the return of Pixar Play Parade and “Paint the Night” parade, and much more throughout the entire Disneyland Resort.
