Alien Pizza Planet, formerly known as Redd Rockett’s Pizza Port, has been home to the Count Down Chicken Fusilli since the restaurant opened in May 1998 with “New Tomorrowland.” This dish, which has been a fan favorite since the restaurant opened, recently got an upgrade.
The Count Down Chicken Fusilli can now be ordered with a new protein – shrimp! Yes – you can now order a Count Down Shrimp Fusilli. It comes with the same fusilli pasta and Parmesan pesto cream sauce we all love. The Count Down Shrimp Fusilli comes with fusilli pasta topped with garlic shrimp, a Parmesan-Pesto cream sauce with sun-dried tomatoes, and shaved Parmesan cheese.
I ordered this on a recent visit to Disneyland and really enjoyed this new option for the Count Down Chicken Fusilli! I felt the sun-dried tomatoes gave the pasta a slight kick, but not too much. Mix the pasta, shrimp, and sauce well, and you just might enjoy it a little more. Get a Cherry Coke with it, and you’ll be enjoying this dish for hopefully years to come.
