‘AMA ‘AMA Reopening at Aulani Resort This Fall

Aulani Resort’s signature oceanside restaurant ʻAMA ʻAMA will be returning this fall. It has been reimagined and will be a dinner-only location upon its reopening.

While the menu has not been revealed yet, ‘AMA ‘AMA will have a new upscale dinner-only menu that will be created by an incredible culinary team. It will add some Disney magic to locally-inspired dishes, cocktails, wines, and desserts. This will take things to a new level of dining for those who visit and experience the restaurant.

The restaurant has been given great care by Disney Imagineer Jeanette Lomboy and her team to create a new experience that has a lot of depth and history in it. There will be details to be found throughout the restaurant that are seemingly left by family members through the years and generations. This will include “Aunty” and “Uncle,” who lived at the location and expanded it over time. There will be new light fixtures that are inspired by traditional Hawaiian fish baskets. A central light fixture will be composed of fin-like elements that swim above the entrance. All of this will work together to help highlight the connection between the restaurant and its namesake ‘ama’ama fish. This is traditionally the most abundant and important fish of Hawai’i.

‘AMA ‘AMA will be officially opening this fall. More details will be released as the grand opening gets closer. To book your next trip to Aulani Resort, stop by Mouseways Travels.
