Hocus Pocus 2 Coming to Disney+ in September

Disney has announced when Hocus Pocus 2 will be arriving on Disney+. During its upfront presentation, Disney announced that the sequel to the Halloween classic will be arriving on its streaming service on September 30, 2022.

The sequel will see Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy returning to the Sanderson sisters’ roles that they originally played in 1993. A clip was shown during Disney’s upfronts presentation. This featured two young girls lighting the infamous Black Flame Candle, which according to legend revives the Sanderson sisters when lit on Halloween night. Unfortunately, nobody told these girls as the clip ended with Bette Middler’s Winifred Sanderson exclaiming “Lock up your children! Yes, Salem, we’re back!”

While not a lot is known about this film, original cast member Anne Fletcher had this to say about the sequel:

“I am beyond thrilled to be involved in the sequel to a film that is as beloved as Hocus Pocus. Fans around the world have embraced these characters and have made this film a Halloween tradition whose popularity continues to grow, and how lucky am I to be back at Disney with these three extraordinarily talented ladies in the iconic roles they created, as well as our fabulous new additions to the cast?”

Starting on September 30, 2022, Hocus Pocus 2 will be available exclusively on Disney+. Are you excited about this film and its arrival on Disney’s streaming service? Share your thoughts and opinions in the comments below!
