Disney PhotoPass continues to innovate and offer new ways for guests to create and keep their magical memories while visiting their favorite Disney Park. Today, Disney announced “Cinderella Castle Mural of Memories,” a way to virtually transform Cinderella Castle with photos.
To use “Cinderella Castle Mural of Memories,” guests can select certain Disney PhotoPass photos from the My Disney Experience App and add them to the castle. This is utilizing augmented reality technology through a partnership with Snap. A video demonstration was shared today by Disney. Check it out here:
During the experience, simply pick a portrait-oriented Disney PhotoPass photo from the photo gallery with the My Disney Experience App. There are also a collection of images in the app featuring Disney icons and favorite characters that could be used.
The “Cinderella Castle Mural of Memories” experience is $9.99. The Disney Parks Blog shared that it includes:
- A spot of your choosing on available sections on Cinderella Castle to digitally pin your photo, which will be waiting for you and other guests to view again and again during visits to Magic Kingdom Park throughout the celebration and beyond (for at least three years).
- A special video of your photo flying from the castle that can be downloaded and shared.
- The ability to download a high-resolution version of your pinned photo from your Disney PhotoPass gallery without watermarks (a $16.95 value), both in its original form and an additional version with a special border applied that includes your first name. If you’re a Disney cast member, Annual Passholder, Disney Vacation Club Member, or Club 33 Member, you’ll even receive a personalized border reflecting your affiliation.
The experience can also be enhanced with AT&T 5G in select locations surrounding Cinderella Castle. Disney Cast Members will also be able to participate and receive a complimentary “entitlement for this offering” as well, Disney shared.
