Inside the Mickey’s Toontown Refurbishment at Disneyland Park

On March 9, 2022, Mickey’s Toontown will close for a grand transformation! The land will reopen in 2023 with Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway but that won’t be the only change coming! This afternoon, Disney gave us an inside look at some of the changes that will be coming.

Disney has confirmed that Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin as well as Mickey and Minnie’s house will remain in the land when it reopens! Gadget’s Go Coaster, Donald’s Boat, and Goofy’s House will all be reimagined in “new and exciting ways” according to Disney.

I personally can’t wait to see what comes of this reimagining of Mickey’s Toontown. In the concept art, the land looks green with plenty of trees and shade! I can only hope that this is what we see when the land reopens at Disneyland Park in 2023!
