Natasha Liu Bordizzo Cast as Sabine Wren in Ahsoka Tano Series for Disney+

There is new casting news for the upcoming Ahsoka Tano series that will be on Disney+. Natasha Liu Bordizzo has been cast as Sabine Wren Deadline is reporting. She joins Rosario Dawson who portrays Ahsoka in the Disney+ Star Wars series.

Sabine Wren was originally introduced to Star Wars fans in Star Wars: Rebels. In the series, Wren was a Mandalorian and weapons expert. She also was quite the artist. On top of all of that, she was also a dropout from the Imperial Academy of Mandalore. At the end of the series, Wren joined Ahsoka Tano in search of their friend Ezra Bridger. In the animated series, Sabine Wren was voiced by Tiya Sircar.

At this time, neither Lucasfilm nor Bordizzo have commented on the casting news.

Bordizzo made her screen debut in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny. She went on to appear in The Greatest Showman, Guns Akimbo, Hotel Mumbai, and The Voyeurs. She also appeared in Netflix’s The Society.

The Ahsoka Tano series was first announced in December 2020. It comes after Rosario Dawson portrayed Tano in the second season of The Mandalorian. The series is set to go into production in early 2022. Hayden Christensen is also expected to again portray Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader in the series. In Star Wars: The Clone Wars Anakin was Ahsoka Tano’s mentor when she was a padawan.
