Disney has teased the return of the Main Street Electrical Parade to Disneyland ahead of its 50th Anniversary. Today, on the Disney Parks TikTok, a video of a truck delivering a snail from the classic parade to a warehouse with a graphic saying “To be continued…” along with the caption “Thousands of sparkling lights” and hashtags #ToBeContinued #Disney #DisneyParks #Disneyland #Magic and #Lights.
The Main Street Electrical Parade originally opened on June 17, 1972. Nearly five years ago, the DAPS MAGIC team captured its 45th-anniversary showing on June 17, 2017. At this time, other than the TikTok tease, there isn’t any more information about the return of this beloved parade.
Through the years, the Main Street Electrical Parade has said hello and goodbye multiple times. It continues to return every time after it “glows away,” however. Iterations of it have also popped up around the globe through the years. The Disneyland Resort had a more modern version that was inspired by the Main Street Electrical Parade called Paint the Night as part of its 60th Diamond Anniversary Celebration.
