All “Disney Fab 50 Character Collection” Announcements for Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary

Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Celebration will feature gold character statues throughout all 4 theme parks. Called the “Disney Fab 5 Character Collection,” these golden statues each have a story as they were revealed. Imagineers, artists, voice actors, celebrity Disney fans, and many others have helped reveal these statues. As they start to appear in the parks, let’s take a look back at all that will be appearing for “The World’s Most Magical Celebration!”

First up was none other than the Mouse that started it all – Mickey Mouse! Bret Iwan, the official voice of Mickey Mouse, revealed that the first golden statue would be Mickey Mouse.

Next up was our favorite goofball – Goofy! Bill Farmer, the official voice of Goofy, revealed that Goofy would also be joining the “Disney Fab 50 Character Collection.”

Don Hahn, producer at Walt Disney Animation Studios, then announced that Timon and Pumbaa would be the next characters to join the “Disney Fab 50 Character Collection.”

Another Disney duo was announced, and they have one wish – to be human again! Susan Egan, who originated the role of Belle on Broadway in “Beauty and the Beast,” made the special announcement that Lumiere and Cogsworth would also be a part of the “Disney Fab 50 Character Collection.”

Fabiola Garza, cover artist for “A Portrait of Walt Disney World: 50 Years of the Most Magical Place on Earth,” next revealed that Daisy Duck is the latest addition to the “Disney Fab 50.”

Two more best friends were also announced as sculptures for the “Disney Fab 50 Character Collection.” Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Global Ambassador George Kalogridis let us know that Winnie the Pooh and Piglet would be part of this special celebration.

Everyone’s favorite designer Edna Mode will also be a part of the “Disney Fab 50.” Pixar Art Director Bryn Imagire made this special announcement! We’re just glad they didn’t include a cape with her statue reveal!

We stay in the world of Pixar as Cesar Millan from the new National Geographic series “Better Human, Better Dog” announced that Dante from Disney/Pixar’s “Coco” would also join the “Disney Fab 50.”

Pixar “Soul” Creators Pete Docter and Kemp Powers went on the official Pixar Instagram to announce that Joe Gardner from “Soul” would also be a part of the “Disney Fab 50 Character Collection.”

Jeff Vahle, President of the Walt Disney World Resort, announced on his Instagram account that Cheshire Cat would also be joining the “Disney Fab 50 Character Collection.” Jeff was joined by two Fantasyland Cast Members for the announcement – Ben, an Opening Day Cast Member, and LaTara, a 2-year Walt Disney World Cast Member.

Actress Annie Potts, voice of Bo Peep in the “Toy Story” movies, made the announcement that Bo Peep and Woody would also be a part of the “Disney Fab 50.”

Disney animator and director Eric Goldberg had the honor of announcing that everyone’s favorite Disney Duck would also be a part of the “Disney Fab 50.”

Ashely Eckstein, longtime Alice in Wonderland fan and founder of Her Universe, had the pleasure of inviting us into her home. She shared that the Mad Hatter would join the “Disney Fab 50” while she proudly displayed her Alice in Wonderland collection.

Ann Morrow Johnson and Scott Trowbridge from Walt Disney Imagineering joined forces to announce that one of our favorite Droids would be a part of the “Disney Fab 50.” R2-D2 will be showcased at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Michael Vargo, Head of D23, announced that one of the most unique characters would also join the “Disney Fab 50” – Orange Bird! Orange Bird became the mascot of Sunshine Tree Terrace in Adventureland at Magic Kingdom, and has been a guest favorite for many years!

Terri Schultz, Senior Vice President, Disney Vacation Club, Guided Adventures & Expeditions and Golden Oak has revealed that Flounder and Sebastian from “The Little Mermaid” would also be joining the “Disney Fab 50.”

Lifelong Disney fan and actor John Stamos had the pleasure of announcing that Dumbo & Timothy Mouse would also be a part of the “Disney Fab 50.” He even made the announcement at his home while sitting inside a Dumbo the Flying Elephant ride vehicle.

Our favorite mischievous duo – Chip ‘n’ Dale – will also be seen as sculptures as part of the “Disney Fab 50 Character Collection.” Josh Peck from the Disney+ Series “Turner and Hooch” made this announcement on the Disney Plus Instagram.

Legendary Disney Imagineer Tony Baxter let us know that our favorite purple dragon – Figment – would be a part of the “Disney Fab 50” at EPCOT.

Everyone’s favorite blue alien was also announced as a sculpture in the “Disney Fab 50.” Aulani Ambassador Alyssa-Lende Kāne made the announcement from the Disney Aulani Resort in Ko Olina, Hawaii.

Aladdin’s monkey sidekick Abu will also be a part of the “Disney Fab 50.” Michael James Scott, Orlando native and Genie in the Broadway production of “Aladdin,” made this special announcement.

Two of our favorite mice from “Cinderella” – Gus and Jaq – were also announced that they will be a part of the “Disney Fab 50.” Anna Cathcart from Disney Channel “Descendants” made this announcement from Magic Kingdom Park.

Even though we saw her statue in the promotional artwork for Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Celebration, it was officially announced that Minnie Mouse would be a part of the “Disney Fab 50 Character Collection.” Artist Jerrod Maruyama shared the news on the shopDisney Twitter account.

Our favorite wooden puppet was announced as a “Disney Fab 50” character and we cannot wait to see his sculpture. Chris Buck, a director at Walt Disney Animation Studios, revealed the announcement on the Disney Animation Instagram.

Disney Cruise Director Jimmy Lynett swam to the Disney Cruise Line Twitter account to share that Nemo and Dory would be a part of the “Disney Fab 50.”

Disney on Broadway’s L Steven Taylor, who portrays Mufasa in “The Lion King,” roared that Simba would join the “Disney Fab 50.” He shared the announcement on “The Lion King” Musical Twitter account.

Jennifer Lee, Chief Creative Officer at Walt Disney Animation Studios, made the announcement that Olaf and Bruni would soon join the “Disney Fab 50” and we can find their sculpture in EPCOT.

On August 26, which was International Dog Day, ESPN Chairman Jimmy Pitaro barked at the chance to share that Mickey’s favorite pal Pluto would also be a part of the “Disney Fab 50.”

New Walt Disney World Ambassadors Raevon Redding and Ali Manion traveled to a Galaxy far, far away to share that another one of our favorite Droids would roll his way into the “Disney Fab 50.” That’s right! BB-8 is joining the celebration, and we couldn’t be more thrilled!

It’s about time that an “Incredible” super hero joined the “Disney Fab 50.” That super hero is Frozone! Oscar-winning composer Michael Giacchino made the announcement on the official Pixar Instagram account.

Roy Conli, producer at Disney Animation and Disneynature, has revealed that two of our favorite forest friends – Bambi and Thumper – will also be a part of the “Disney Fab 50.”

Imagineer Zach Ridley has been updating us on the progress of EPCOT during its historic transformation. He had the honor of announcing that Rocket and Groot from the “Guardians of the Galaxy” would also be joining the “Disney Fab 50.”

Celebrity Chef Wolfgang Puck announced on the Disney Plus Instagram that our favorite dog couple Lady and the Tramp would be a part of the “Disney Fab 50 Character Collection.” Chef Puck also promoted his documentary “Wolfgang,” which is now streaming on Disney Plus.

Anthony Gonzalez, the voice of Miguel in Disney-Pixar “Coco,” is all grown up now! He shared some highlights of his time as Miguel in a video. Then he proudly announced that Miguel will be a part of the “Disney Fab 50” with a sculpture at EPCOT!

Talk show host Tamron Hall from ABC’s “The Tamron Hall Show” shared on her Twitter account that Pua and Hei Hei from Disney’s “Moana” would be added to the “Disney Fab 50 Character Collection.”

Actress Yara Shahidi, who will portray Tinker Bell in the upcoming live-action movie “Peter Pan & Wendy,” unveiled the final “Disney Fab 50 Character Collection” sculpture. She shared the announcement on the Freeform TV Twitter account.

And there are all the “Disney Fab 50 Character Collection” announcements! All sculptures will be found throughout all 4 Walt Disney World Theme Parks during “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” starting October 1, 2021. Some sculptures have already been placed throughout the Parks, and some were revealed in this video from the Disney Parks Blog.
