Disneyland Resort is Saying Goodbye to Legacy Passholder Program

With the announcement of the new Magic Key holder program earlier today, it comes as no surprise that Disneyland Resort will also be saying goodbye to the Disneyland Legacy Passholder program. In an email sent to former Disneyland Resort Annual Passholders, this news was confirmed. The following was said by Disney in the email:

IMPORTANT NEWS FOR YOU TO KNOW
With this news, we’re sunsetting the Legacy Passholder program at the end of the day on August 15. After this date, benefits or discounts for Legacy Passholders will no longer be available. We thank you for being such loyal fans and we hope to see you again soon as a Magic Keyholder beginning August 25!

Email: Disneyland Resort Introducing the Magic Key program!

The new Magic Key holder program will begin 10 days after the end of the Disneyland Legacy Passholder program. It includes perks and benefits for the new Magic Key holders that are similar to the Legacy Passholder program and the Disneyland Annual Pass program before it.

What do you think of the end of the Legacy Passholder program? How do you feel this program did since the end of the Annual Passholder program end? Are you excited about the new Magic Key holder pass? Share your thoughts and opinions in the comments below!

  1. Being that I am a “Legacy Passholder” shouldn’t I an the rest get a little something extra from the new program? Maybe an extra discount on the cost for a year or something? NOPE!!!! As far as I and my many friends who are Legacy Pass-holders. We Say Good-bye to Disneyland. Enough time has passed that we are not missing Disneyland so much and that we know Disneyland will increase the crowds to overflowing levels, there is no magic to be had or enjoyed any more. Much less you can’t hop in for an hour or two to hit your favorite rides and go anytime you wish.
