After more than a year-long pause, runDisney is returning! In-person runDisney races are scheduled to begin again at Walt Disney World Resort in November with an entire season scheduled out through 2022. Let’s take a look at the events that are planned for the 2021-2022 season!

  • Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend powered by AfterShokz: November 4-7, 2021
  • Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend: January 5-9, 2022
  • Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend: February 24-27, 2022
  • runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend presented by Otterbox: March 31-April 3, 2022

Be sure to secure your spot in these races now, as participation in the Wine & Dine Half Marathon can get you into the post-race party at EPCOT after-hours to celebrate your accomplishments with your friends and family! You’ll get an extra special taste of all the offerings at the International Food & Wine Festival.

The Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend in January 2022 will celebrate the golden celebration of Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary. I can’t wait to see what surprises are in store for racers!

Disney has said that elements of the in-person runDisney events may be changing due to COVID-19 protocol, so be sure to keep your eye on rundisney.com to stay up to date on the latest updates!

Disney has also provided some exciting new opportunities for racers as well. Each race event will be offered virtually, giving fans the chance to take place no matter where they are! Most importantly, guests participating virtually will receive the same finishing medals as in-person racers! Racers participating in the Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend will also have a chance to be part of sunrise yoga in front of Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom. This is certainly something I would look forward to!

On top of those exciting additions, Disney will also be offering the runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend. This will be the fourth event of each race season and will switch up the themes and distances. You never know what you’re going to get with this springtime surprise! Disney will also be offerings Kids Races during each event to promote health and wellness while making it fun for kids!

Be sure to stay tuned to the runDisney website for information on when the race passes become available. Are you excited to take part in these in-person events once again? Be sure to connect with us on Twitter and Facebook to let us know which race you’re looking forward to the most!
