Maya Rudolph, Yvette Nicole Brown & Jayma Mays Reportedly Join Cast of Disenchanted

Maya Rudolph, Yvette Nicole Brown and Jyma Mays are joining the cast of Disenchanted, the sequel to Enchanted that is coming to Disney+. The movie will also be featuring returning stars Amy Adams, Idina Menzel and James Marsden. This newest casting news comes from Deadline.

The sequel to Enchanted was announced last year during Disney Investor Day by the Disney Studios’ President of Production Sean Bailey. In it, Amy Adams will again play Giselle, Idina Menzel will again play Nancy, and James Marsden will again play Prince Edward. Alan Menken will also be returning to compose the score and songs for the film. Adam Shankman will be directing the film.

The original film, Enchanted, came out in 2007. It was a live-action satire of Disney animated princess musicals. It had a cartoon princess turn into a real girl when she fell into modern-day New York City. According to Deadline, the three new cast members will most likely be playing villains. This, however, has not been confirmed by Disney.
