Welcome to the DISNEY Reporter! Each week we cover the top five stories from Disney and geek news. This week, there was a lot to choose from!
Things start with the news that California while now allow out of state guests to visit as COVID-19 cases continue to plummet. Disneyland, however, is maintaining its policy of only allowing California residents to visit when the parks reopen in less than a week.
Imagineering unveiled a new robotic Groot this week that is part of Project Kiwi that could eventually lead to autonomous characters! Imagineering has also been hard at work on the Disney Wish, which will be taking to the seas in 2022. This week, the design concept was released for the ship. To put it simply, it’s all about enchantment!
In entertainment news, Marvel Studios released the first teaser for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings! This movie will be arriving in theaters on September 3, 2021.
Finally, as The Falcon and the Winter Soldier ends its first season on Disney+. As the series ended, Captain America 4 is in the works. It is being run by the head writer and show runner from The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
