Outdoor Dining to Reopen on Buena Vista Street on Friday, February 5

Just over a month ago, California put a stop to outdoor dining to help slow the spread of COVID-19. Of course, this meant that food at Downtown Disney District was available to-go only and dining on Buena Vista Street closed entirely. Now that the stay-at-home order is lifted, Buena Vista Street will reopen for outdoor dining this Friday, February 5.

While fans have been flocking back to Downtown Disney for dining, Buena Vista Street has remained quiet. With only shopping and Trolley Treats open, guests haven’t had much to do. With Carthay Circle, Award Wieners, and Smokejumpers Grill reopening this weekend, it will bring a whole new life back to Buena Vista Street.

At this time, it seems that reservations remain closed for Carthay Circle Restaurant, but hopefully, that changes soon! Just before we saw the. suspension of outdoor dining in California, Carthay Circle became reservation only, which seemed to make the process easier for guests who wanted to dine. Mobile ordering was also available at Award Wieners and Smokejumpers, a feature which I believe will come back this weekend.

Overall, I am excited to see one piece of Disney magic come back to the Disneyland Resort. Please continue to wear your masks and wash your hands and hopefully, we will be back to normal soon!
